Stop, Drop, and Check! Alarms Go Off When Our Cell Phones Go Missing

How many times have you been out somewhere and you go to reach for your cellphone and it’s not where you last left it? Does a moment of panic grip your chest? Do you stop what you’re doing to try and find your mobile phone? If so, you’re not alone.

According to this survey, conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Lookout, it’s becoming increasingly common for smartphones owners to experience a feeling of withdrawal and alarm when they can’t find their phone.

As these stats indicate, we don't like the thought of losing our phones:
  • 94% of people are worried about losing their phone.
  • 73% feel panicked when they can't find their phone.
  • 38% reported feeling concerned about the cost & hassle of replacing a lost phone.

Smart phone owners are constantly checking where their phones are and if they've received any new messages. A text messaging service, like SendTree, allows you to increase your reach by sharing important news and notifications with people through text.
