Mobile Etiquette: Why Can't We Resist Checking Our Phones?

What's the mentality of mobile phone users? This survey conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Lookout  identifies some revealing habits of mobile phones owners. These statistics indicate that many mobile phones owners are breaking the rules of etiquette to stay connected.

As cell phone use increases, people are redefining where and when it is acceptable to check their mobile phones. And sometimes...we just can't resist checking our phones.
  • 30% of respondents admitted to checking their phones during a meal with others.
  • 24% of participants reported checking their phones while driving.
  • 9% said they check their phones during religious services.

People love being able to instantly connect, which is why text messaging is one of the most convenient channels to reach your audience. At SendTree we believe mobile messaging is a great way to stay connected with your contacts.

By starting an account SendTree you'll connect with your contacts on the devices they cherish most: their mobile phones. Click below to begin your free 30-trial today>>
